Debbie
I have had the privilege of getting to be a part of Haven of Rest since the very beginning. But it was not until 2008 that I decided with the encouragement of my friend and previous business partner Pam, that I needed to go to school. She would always tell me how I was missing out by not getting to perform services on our clients. And she was right! Little did I know that becoming an esthetician was what I was meant to do. I absolutely love my time with each and every guest, helping them to achieve healthier skin and hopefully seeing their beauty and worth. I am passionate about skin care but even more so making people feel good. I have taken extra education with Dermalogica at The International Dermal institute, Jan Marini, Jane Iredale and am certified in Bio Therapeutic Micro-current Technology, Microdermabrasion, Peels and LED Light Therapy. I look so forward to serving you.

I am taking on many roles at the Haven of Rest as an Esthetician, Waxing Specialist, Nail Tech and Make-up artist. My passion in life is helping my guest have great skin! I have been doing so since 2001. I help my clients by providing pampering, anti-aging, clearing facials as well as peels. I enjoy teaching them how to best care for their skin throughout all stages of life. Waxing is so much fun for me, and I do everything from lip and brow to bikini and backs! My other joy is giving beautiful manicures and pedicures. I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to serve you!

I trained for my full cosmetologist license at Phagans here in Happy Valley, and have been a member of the Haven of Rest family since August 2015. Here at the spa I do manicures and pedicures, and am always happy to enhance your fingers and toes with fun and stylish nail art. The creative side of nails has always been something I’ve been experimenting with and it’s great to work with so many ladies happy to give it a try! Being part of the calming and friendly atmosphere here is absolutely amazing and I’m eager to make my clients feel like part of it too.

My journey to practicing therapeutic massage began through encouragement from family and friends, who shared their belief in my natural affinity for this work. Full time training was taken in Albuquerque, NM in 2006. Following my education at school in Swedish and Deep Tissue, I have become certified in Hot Stones, Cold Stones for Migraine Headaches, Active Isolated Stretching, along with training in Orthopedic Massage, and Myofascial release massage. You the client is what is most important to me, so I may use one or more of these modalities during your massage. But whether it’s just to relax or to get relief from sore/tired muscles, when you are happy with the massage, then I know I have done my job. For ten years I practiced my trade in the state of Maryland and since moving here to Oregon in July 2016, I am blessed to be working with a great team of people here at Haven who love to serve you as much as I do.
Christine
My massage training unfolded in 2008 and is rooted in the core principle of Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) which is about focus and accuracy, not heavy pressure. I specialize in creative problem solving and utilize an array of technical skills from various advanced therapeutic and massage modalities to help correct dysfunctional patterning and relieve your pain. My approach is gentle and often subtle, yet remarkably effective and relaxing. This ensures your massage experience is not only about feeling and seeing results, but also about renewal and self-discovery. Like many here, I feel blessed to be a member of the Haven family and look forward to providing a quality service catered just for you.
April
We welcome back LMT April. Originally from Utah, April spent the majority of her 20+ years as a massage therapist working in resort spas in Las Vegas. She loves to give relaxing, pampering massages and would describe her general massage style as a well-rounded blend of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Thai and Lomi Lomi. Aside from massage, April loves to spend time with her young son and really enjoys living in a “foodie city.”
Ari
Arielle grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii instilling in her the Spirit of Aloha and the love of being surrounded and supported by a diverse community. In 2016 her adventurous spirit lead her to move to and embrace her new hometown of Portland, Oregon. Graduating from Oregon’s own East-West College of the Healing Arts, she developed her knowledge of massage and discovered how she could live out her passion for working with people to promote a lifestyle that facilitates health and healing. Ari enjoys working with her clients to tailor their session to align with their goals, she intuitively applies her knowledge of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage modalities and incorporates Trigger Point, Neuromuscular Therapies, Tui Na, and Active Movement Therapy. She truly believes that no two bodies are alike, so each massage is just as unique as the person receiving it and values massaging people from all different walks, jogs, and runs of life. Her love of constantly learning and growing as a massage therapist is fulfilled through pursuing continuing education courses in new modalities and further refining her application of current techniques. In her free time, Ari can frequently be found hiking, biking, discovering new waterfalls, and eating, “Ono kine grinds.” (Pigeon English Translation: Delicious varieties of food)
Sandy
Hello, I’m Sandra Forsyth, a licensed massage therapist. I graduated from Pacific College in Costa Mesa California as a Physical Medicine Assistant and Myo therapist. I have almost twenty years of experience focused primarily in sports medicine rehab and pain management. Utilizing therapeutic techniques such as trigger point, myofascial release, cross friction and deep tissue I provide a firm yet relaxing flow massage. My goal is to help you destress, by getting rid of tension and knots, both of which can be restrictive in the way you move and feel day to day. If I can assist in your wellness efforts, I am happy to do so, and look forward to meeting you.
